Gingivitis

Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums. The gums are red, swollen, weak, slightly shiny and no longer fit tightly around your teeth. The gums may also bleed during brushing. Because it does not hurt, we often do not notice that our gums are inflamed. It is important to treat gingivitis in time, otherwise it can progress into gingivitis periodontitis. Periodontitis affects several tissues around the teeth. The space between teeth and gums deepens, which can spread inflammation, erode fibers and cause jawbone loss. Ultimately, this can lead to tooth and molar loss.
