Children

It is important to introduce children to regular dental checkups and oral hygiene habits from an early age to promote good oral health and identify and address dental problems at an early stage. The dental hygienist can provide a friendly and comforting experience for children to help them maintain their oral health. An important part of the treatment of children includes preventive care. This includes practicing good oral hygiene habits, such as brushing your teeth, flossing, and using mouthwashes. In addition, the dental hygienist will thoroughly examine your child's mouth to identify any problems, such as tooth decay, gum disease or other oral health problems. If tartar or plaque is present, it will be removed by the dental hygienist. If it turns out that your child has cavities, the dental hygienist will treat primary (incipient) cavities. Fluoride treatment is also recommended and nutritional advice is given. If there are specific dental problems, the dental hygienist can recommend additional treatments or refer you to a dentist or specialist.
